TimeMaker Matrix Lesson 12 - Masive Nuke
TM Matrix Lesson 12 – Massive Nuke
Prerequisites:
1. Study Various Functions lesson.
We will now take a look at the Massive Nuke (a very powerful feature). This tool allows you to give a simultaneous nuke to all (or those you choose) overdue items.
Nuke with visual – this option opens a Nuke Screen for any overdue items in your selection on the Matrix which then allows you to handle the items individually.
Owner’s Tag Date – To understand how this works, we need to take a step back. When an item is overdue, it sits both in the Owner’s and Performer’s inbox. This Massive Nuke option will apply an Owner Tag Date to whatever is your selection. In other words, the overdue items get out of your inbox up to the date you put which will be called the “Owner’s Tag Date” while remaining in the Performers’ inbox still as overdue. This is not really a nuke, but this way, without the Performer knowing, you don’t need to worry any further about the task until whatever future date you chose, and it continues to sit in the Performer’s inbox as overdue. It’s a sort of way to give the Performer more time to handle it without you paying attention to it for now.
Diplomatic – this will apply an automatic Diplomatic Nuke to all items on the Matrix that are overdue. At the same time, it will take the item out of the inbox of the Owner and will add an additional message to the Performer simply letting him know you are aware that his item is overdue.
Conventional – this will apply an automatic Conventional Nuke to all items on the Matrix that are overdue. At the same time, it will take the item out of the inbox of the Owner and will present an additional message to the Performer asking him to handle the overdue item.
Bullet – this will apply an automatic Bullet Nuke to all items on the Matrix that are overdue. At the same time, it will take the item out of the inbox of the Owner and will add a message to the Performer asking him to handle the overdue item - but within a specific time frame. Failing to handle the overdue item within that pre-defined time frame will “lock” the Performer’s PC on the Nuke window forcing him to handle the overdue item. The Performer can do any of the normal Actions with the Item. He can Complete, Date Move Request, Clarify and Reject.
Nuclear – this will apply an automatic Nuclear Nuke to all items on the Matrix that are overdue. It will take the item out of the inbox of the Owner and will add a message to the Performer asking him to handle the overdue item within a specific time frame. Failing to handle the overdue items within that pre-defined time frame will “lock” the Performer’s PC on the Nuke window forcing him to handle the overdue item. The Performer can ONLY do one of the following actions – Complete or Reject. Talk about demanding compliance!
